Zones 4-8 Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Avalanche'

 

Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Avalanche' has showy leaves with a green margin and white stripe.  The variegation is opposite to its cousin, C. acutiflora 'Overdam'.  Avalanche grows to 24" in height and performs best in moist to dry soil, in full sun buts does well in part sun in warmer climates.
